Department of Technical Cybernetics
Department of Technical Cybernetics of NTUU “KPI” was created in 1969. Since that time department is headed by professor, academician of AES of Ukraine, emeritus scientist of Ukraine Vsevolod Ivanovich Kostyuk. For 30 years more than 2000 engineers were graduated with specialties of “Automatics and telemechanics”, “Automatic control systems”, “Robotic systems”, “Flexible computerized systems and robotics”. Department of Technical Cybernetics is leading on specialists’ preparation in sphere of flexible computerized systems and robotics in Ukraine.
Study process of department is provided by 4 professors, 17 associate professors and 5 assistants. For the series of textbooks professors Kostyuk V.I., Yampolsky L.S., Polishchuk M.M. and Associate Professor Tkach M. M. awarded the State Prize of Ukraine in 1996.
The level of quality in specialists’ preparation is confirmed by the fact that there are 24 alumni of the doctorate, more than 200 - the candidate. There are heads of companies, scientific and industrial establishments, businessmen among the graduates of the department.
The department employees are leading performers in the international program "TEMPUS TACIS INTERNET" in creation of a corporate university network in the Ukrainian scientific and educational project URAN.
Our students have the opportunity to acquire great experience in Scientific-Research Institute of System Technology.

Zgurovsky M. Z. - Academician of the National Academy of Sciences, Rector of KPI;
Pavlov O.A. – Professor, Dean of Informatics and Computer Science Faculty, Head of Automatic Information Processing and Control Systems department of KPI;
Novikov A.N. - Professor, Dean of Physical and Technical Institute of KPI;
Sineglazov V.M. - Professor, Director of the Institute of Electronics and Control Systems NAU, member of the New York Academy of Sciences, State Prize winner.
